"The Genius is back....along with James Blonde"

Jean Paul Gaultier has done it again.... though not in the form that all were expecting! Fashionista’s flocked to the Paris show yesterday expecting that Gaultier would deliver his well-known ‘punk couture,’ however the elite were blown away , boasting that Gaultier is back!

Check out these pictures of the show, full of Mohawks and the occasionally dog-collar, we are loving his use of sheer fabrics, tulle and dresses that have the aspect of ‘straight jackets’. We also can’t go past his tailored pieces he has included in the collection, including the ‘tux-like’ pant suit and the ‘pinstripe’ jump suit with matching jacket. Let’s just say he screams genius....

John Paul Gaultier’s show did not disappoint- nor did his favourite model of the moment, Australian (yes Australian!) Andrej Pejic! The 19 year old Broadmeadows sensation is one of the international fashion scenes most sort after new stars.

Pejic strutted the European catwalk, dressed as a man-bride, equipped with a Mohawk, black veil and black gloves, in Jean-Paul’s Womenswear show, as well as closing Gaultier’s menswear show dressed as a woman in heels, and a fur vest, with his blonde locks glistening while holding a golden gun. That’s not all for the feminine model, who is also known as “James Blonde.” He has also been signed as the new face of Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring Campaign and is appearing in the latest Marc Jacobs Campaign.

Fashion greats everywhere are embracing his girl/guy look and Matthew Anderson, director of Chadwick’s.... (His Australian Modelling Agency in Sydney) couldn’t be happier with Pejic’s success, claiming that he “currently has 60 requests sitting in my inbox from publications around the world wanting a piece of Andrej.”

.....And I don’t blame them! We love that Andrej is blurring fashions boundaries and I look forward to more of what he/she has to come.....
