Carol Brady would be proud, as a step back to the seventies, with a hint of nerd was the vibe felt from the Marc by Marc Jacobs fall collection runway show. Of course he makes nerdy cool with calf length skirts, shirt dresses with high necklines, chunky knits, wide-leg herringbone trousers with defined waists and ethnic style retro prints. A stand out pattern in the collection was a scene of running impalas used on a dress, a top and a purse.  Accessories included small satchels, wide brimmed hats, chunky bangles and socks paired with wedges creating the ultimate preppy feel. His collection had a more mature feel, with shades of olives, mustards, burnt oranges, emerald greens and beiges. Stand out pieces included the huge fur collared trench and the long multi-stripped swing coat.
