The runway was awash of voluminous gypsy tops, paisley prints, pussy bow blouses and high waisted flares at the Saint Augustine Academy's S/S 11-12 collection, titled Love & Haight at RAFW. The daisy flowers that lay along the side of the catwalk and the paisley printed goodie bags, gave hint that we would be stepping back into the classic seventies hippy movement. Apart from the paisley prints, the colour palette consisted of neutral tones in the form of khaki, tan, ivory and blush. I personally fell in love with the models hair created by FUDGE, which interpreted that hippie vibe, with asymmetric braids, in there luscious long hair (which I envied). Think Almost Famous, (with the bishop sleeved blouses and organic layering); meets the Hell's Angels, (with the safari motorcycle jacket and biker tees),;which then meets the Wild West (with the leather fringing), and you will then have an idea of this exciting collection.
