ELLERY & CHRISTOPHER ESBER NYFW

Australian designer’s Kym Ellery and Christopher Esber teamed up for their New York Fashion week debut, as the only Australian’s showing at this years festival. Alternative music was pulsing when entering the show and 2 opposing collections were presented. On one side was Ellery’s Swish #105 collection, boasting collared necklines, over sized jackets, short hemlines and the use of leather, mesh and metallic's. The earthy toned colour palette of burgundy, orange, gold, white and silver was highlighted with models wearing wooden heeled shoes, with beautiful bronzed cheek bones. On the opposite side, Christopher Esber showcased very sharp and minimalistic designs, with highly tailored pieces in navy, white, black and silver hues. Both presented very modernist collections in different forms.
