My second day of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week kicked off with the wonderful designer Rachel Gilbert's Cruise Collection 11/12 titled "Binding Measures." If you are looking for that chic but stylish evening gown you can not go past this collection, which focuses on the powerful and confident woman. The magical mood was set when opening her show, which was inspired by the female body form; with violinist Jane Cho engaging all with the harmonious sound of her violin. The collection was mind-blowing due to the use of beautiful luxurious fabrics and over a million dollars worth of Jan Logan Diamonds; this perfected elegance. Models glided down the runway with soft hair, neatly drawn back from their faces and loosely plaited created by GOLDWELL'S Christopher Hanna, staying true to the feminine theme. Together with diamonds, sequins, silks, lengthening hemlines, rising necklines and fresh sorbet colours; it's no wonder that Rachel Gilbert's designs are a favourite on the red carpet.
