TODAY WAS A SUCCESSFUL DAY IN TERMS OF FASHION, AS IT WAS OF COURSE THE FIRST DAY OF ROSEMOUNT AUSTRALIAN FASHION WEEK. ZIMMERMANN'S SPRING SUMMER COLLECTION WAS THE FIRST SHOW TO STRUT DOWN THE ROSEMOUNT CATWALK. I MADE MY WAY TO THE OFFSITE SHOW AT A CAR STUDIO IN NORTH SYDNEY, TO SEE MODELS SPORTING WHITE ON WHITE, WIDE FLORAL FLARES, JUMPSUITS, LACE TUNIC DRESSES, AND THIGH HIGH SUEDE SPLITS AT THE ZIMMERMN SHOW WHICH BREATHED BEAUTY. I QUICKLY HURRIED BACK TO THE SYDNEY O.P.T SO I DID NOT MISS BEC AND BRIDGE. 70'S FEVER WAS IN THE AIR, WITH TINY SUEDE SHORTS, SPLIT SKIRTS, FELT HATS, LOW CUT DRESSES AND CIGARETTE TROUSERS. I CAUGHT UP WITH DESIGNERS REBECCA AND BRIDGET WHO TOLD ME THAT THE NEW YORK DOWN TOWN 70'S ERA, WAS WHAT INSPIRED THERE PIECES.
DESIGNER JAYDE ARNOTT FROM ARNSDORF DID NOT DISSAPOINT WITH RUNWAY PIECES LIGHT AND AIRY, THE COLOUR PALETTE MAINLY CONSISTED OF WHITE ON WHITE ENSEMBLES, PALE AS PASTELS, WITH A POP OF NEON PINK AND BLACK HERE AND THERE. THE FORTH SHOW THAT I WAS THE READY TO WEAR COLLECTION WHICH INCLUDED DESIGNERS GARTH COOK, SUBFUSCO, LANPHI, FLOWERS FOR VAGABOND AND OF COURSE USCARI (THEIR AFTER PARTY WAS WHERE I WRAPPED UP MY TIRING BUT INSPIRING DAY.)
A STAND OUT SHOW FOR ME WAS THE LABEL FRIEND OF MINE, WHO HAD THERE DEBUT ROSEMOUNT SHOW THIS EVENING. THERE WAS ALOT OF LEATHER, LEG AND WHITE WHICH SEEMS TO BE A KEY TREND ON THE RAFW RUNWAY SO FAR . CHECK IN TOMORROW FOR ALL NEWS FROM DAY 2 AT ROSEMOUNT FASHION WEEK.
