Gaga walking in the pARQ

There is one thing that I hate, (well more than one thing, but lets just go with it) and that is waiting! However, last night (make that this morning) was an exception, as standing around for 6 hours sure paid off; because we got to be front row at Lady Gaga's surprise Sydney performance. Yesterday, she teased her Australian fans via Twitter, saying; "Thinking of going out in Sydney tonight. How I wish we had a show. NEVERMIND, don't listen to me. Maybe i'll just go for a walk in the pARQ." Her excited fans were onto the famous tweet straight away, creating never-ending cues out the front of 2 of Sydney's famous gay nightclubs, Nevermind and ARQ. I was lucky enough to be front row at ARQ, where she was scheduled to perform at midnight. True Lady Gaga style, she was of course running late; not performing until around 1:30 am. Gaga took to the stage in a black sheer veil, with John Lennon style sunglasses, before stripping down to leather underwear, embellished with studs and chains. With a baby blue Madonna style, high-top pony tail and a small team of dancers; Gaga performed Born this Way, Judas and Edge of Glory. It was an exciting time for the gay community, not only because there 'Mother Monster' was in front of them, engaging with the crowd; (touching hands, laying back on people, letting fans sing into the mic etc.), but also because yesterday she was made a honorary citizen of Sydney by the mayor for her gay advocacy. Despite the tired, sore feet and almost having my bones crushed from the fanatic 'little monsters', the 7 hour wait was worth every minute, as Gaga's performance was amazing!!...(Plus, I did get to hold her hand....)
