Glasson's A/W 13 show

Below is an article I wrote for Urban Society;

Arriving in the mail was an invite featuring a bold headline reading, ‘EVERYDAY FUN’ and a personal locker key for the online store; Glasson’s, first Australian runway show. The locker key and the event location provided me with a slight inkling that the overall theme would have a sporty, high school aesthetic to it.
Held in the basketball stadium at Sydney’s CBD Cooke and Phillip Aquatic centre, show-goers emptied out their own lockers containing goodies and took their seat on the bleachers ready to view the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection. The parade title, ‘Everyday Fun’ certainly lived up to its name, with models playing musical chairs in the centre of the Auditorium, whilst revealing the chic and easy to wear apparel. Pinafore dresses, slouchy sweaters, crisp button up collared shirts, anoraks, diverse shades of denim on denim and varsity bomber jackets all were highlights for the up and coming colder months. Ankle socks with sneakers, heeled booties and creepers, tied in with the preppy-yet-edgy high school theme. Thank-you goes to the one and only; Sweaty Betty PR for hosting this enjoyable and quirky event.
